On Wednesday 14 December, Minister of Education, Culture and Science Robbert Dijkgraaf and State Secretary for Culture and Media Gunay Uslu made a working visit to the Netherlands Institute for Conservation+Art+Science+ (NICAS). During the visit, they were introduced to the wide range of research carried out within the partnership.

In the Atelier Building, they visited various labs and studios, highlighting interesting collaborations and the challenges of conservation and restoration practice. At the Gallery of Honour, they were shown the craftsmanship involved in the restoration of the Doomer cabinets and the advanced research techniques, including the use of Artificial Intelligence, involved in Operation Night Watch.
