The deadline to submit proposals for the NICAS Small Project Grants is fast approaching. Proposals must be submitted by 17 March 2025 to be considered for the upcoming funding round in April/May 2025.

The NICAS Small Project Grants
With this funding instrument, NICAS supports collaborative research between museums, heritage institutions, and academic partners. The grant helps to unlock the research potential of Dutch heritage collections, allowing us to gain deeper insights into the material biography of heritage objects and use that knowledge to enrich the stories we tell about them and safeguard their future.

Budget
The annual budget for this funding programme will be at least €50.000, but will be augmented from other sources whenever possible.

The documents for the Small Project Grants have been revised and updated. The proposal template now includes a mandatory Data Management Plan.
