We are pleased to announce a hybrid edition of the NICAS colloquium on Thursday 6 July 2023 from 15.00 to 17.00 hrs. The colloquium will take place onsite in Conference room B of the Ateliergebouw, Hobbemastraat 22, Amsterdam, but will also be streamed through Microsoft Teams.
Because this is the last colloquium before the summer, we would like to invite you to join the colloquium in the Ateliergebouw and have a drink with us afterwards.

Conservator-restorer and art historian, Angela Cerasuolo heads the Conservation Department of the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte, Naples. She has carried out several restorations on paintings belonging to the Museum, including works by Bellini, Raphael, Titian and published on history and theory of restoration and on painting techniques. She has participated in international conferences and collaborated with several universities and research institutions for teaching and research projects. She is the scientific head for the Capodimonte Museum of a joint research laboratory between the Museum, Vanvitelli University and ISPC (CNR Institute of Cultural Heritage Sciences).
Conservation and Technical Study of Paintings from the Capodimonte Museum: Experiences and Perspectives.
The Capodimonte Museum in Naples possesses a collection of great relevance that makes it possible to study the history of Italian art of the different schools from the 15th to the 17th century. Working as a Conservator-Restorer in this Museum is a great opportunity and privilege. Over a period of several years, a reality of collaboration with the university and the CNR in the joint scientific and historical-artistic technical study is being built up, which has yielded far-reaching results and initiated promising projects
I will be presenting a number of relevant restoration and technical studies for which I was responsible, in particular those on the works of Raphael and his workshop, which have been the focus of an exhibition in 2021, where the interaction of restoration, art historical research, conservation history and scientific investigation have led to a significant increase in knowledge.
