Last week, under the auspices of the Netherlands Institute for Conservation+Art+Scienc+ (NICAS) and in the presence of Jet Bussemaker, the Minister of Education, Culture and Science, the Rijksmuseum signed two agreements with leading American cultural institutions, the Metropolitan Museum and J.P. Getty Trust, to promote innovative scientific research into the conservation and restoration of works of art.

The agreement between the Metropolitan Museum of Art and NICAS will enable joint international research into sustainability and art.
